Prepare
1. Drain cooling system. See Coolant of cooling system.
2. Remove left foot control bracket. See Rider foot controls.
Remove
Note: Pry overlap ofclamps (1, 2) to remove. If clamps must be cut, use a sharp high-quality wire cutter.
1. See Figure 7-8. Detach coolant hoses from coolant pump.
- a. Discard clamps (1,2).
- b. Detach coolant hoses.
2. Remove screws (3) and cover (4).
3. Remove coolant pump.

1. See Figure 7-9. Install coolant pump.
- a. Install new O-ring (1).
- b. Align shaft with oil pump shaft (2).
2. See Figure 7-10. Install cover.
- a. Install new seal between cover and coolant pump.
- b. Tighten screws using pattern shown to 10.0-12.0 Nm (89-106 in·lbs).
3. See Figure 7-8. Attach coolant hoses to pump. Install new hose clamps (1, 2) using HOSE CLAMP PLIERS (Part # HD-41137).
