Prepare



1. Remove front belt guard. See Belt guards.

2. Disconnect negative battery cable. See Power disconnect.

3. Remove muffler. See Removing and installing muffler.

4. Remove muffler bracket. See Exhaust system.

5. Remove rear wheel. See Rear wheel.

6. Detach left shock absorber from rear fork. See Shock absorbers.

7. Remove rear fork pivot shaft nut, washer and spacer. See Rear fork.

Remove



1. See Figure 5-2. Remove drive belt (1) from output pulley (2).

Install



1. See Figure 5-2. Install drive belt (1) on output pulley (2).

Complete



1. Install rear fork pivot shaft spacer, washer and nut. See Rear fork.

2. Install muffler bracket. See Exhaust system.

3. Install muffler. See Removing and installing muffler.

4. Attach left shock absorber to rear fork. See Shock absorbers.

5. Install rear wheel. See Rear wheel.

6. Adjust drive belt deflection. See Inspect and adjust drive belt and sprockets.

7. Connect negative battery cable. See Power disconnect.

8. Install front belt guard. See Belt guards.
