Prepare
1. Remove main fuse. See Power disconnect.
2. Remove seat. See Removing and installing seat.
3. Lift rear of fuel tank. See Lift rear of fuel tank.
Remove
1. See Figure 8-47. Disconnect engine harness connector (2).
2. Pull harness from backbone caddy (1).
3. See Figure 8-48. Disconnect the following electrical connectors:
- a. Throttle position sensor (TPS) (2).
- b. Idle air control (IAC) (7).
- c. Temperature manifold absolute pressure (TMAP) sensor (4).
- d. Front fuel injector (5).
- e. Rear fuel injector (8).
- f. Coolant temperature sensor (3).
- g. Ignition coil (6).
Install
1. See Figure 8-47. Connect engine harness connector (2).
2. Install harness into backbone caddy (1).
3. See Figure 8-48. Connect the following electrical connectors:
- a. Throttle position sensor (TPS) (2).
- b. Idle air control (IAC) (7).
- c. Temperature manifold absolute pressure (TMAP) sensor (4).
- d. Front fuel injector (5).
- e. Rear fuel injector (8).
- f. Coolant temperature sensor (3).
- g. Ignition coil (6).
